AFCAT 01/2023: Notification

Indian Air Force has released the latest notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for the recruitment of 258 commissioned officers in various branches including the Flying, Technical, Weapon Systems, Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education, and Meteorology for Batch No. 1/2023. AFCAT Exam is also conducted for the NCC Special Entry for Flying Branch. Eligible Indian Male and Female candidates can apply online for the Air Force AFCAT 2023 Exam from the website afcat.cdac.in starting from December 1, 2022. AGE LIMIT

The age limit for AFCAT 01/2023 is 20-24 Years for Flying Branch and 20-26 Years for the Technical and Non-Technical Branches. The crucial date for the calculation of the age is 1.1.2024. The age Relaxation will be given as per the Rules of the Government.

SELECTION PROCESS

The Selection Process of AFCAT Recruitment includes the following Stages:

 ▪️ Air Force Selection Board (AFSB)

 ▪️ Document Verification

 ▪️ Medical Examination


EXAM PATTERN

It is compulsory for the candidates opting for the Ground Duty (Technical) branch to appear in both exams of AFCAT as well Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

 ▪️ General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc.

 ▪️  Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams).

 ▪️  Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability
